From November 12th through the 24th, Empire Realty Group, LLC is organizing a food drive for the Hoboken Shelter. The shelter depends on donations to help sustain its mission of providing a safe haven to homeless adult men and women. With the help of 2,000 - 3,000 volunteers annually, the Hoboken Shelter provides beds for 50 people nightly, serves 200 meals daily, and provides such support services as food, shelter, case management, counseling, job and life skills training, creative arts workshops, and emergency homelessness prevention grants. These services help the homeless guests develop the skills needed to gain employment, achieve independence, and re-integrate into the community.
